Studio Etiquette

Proper studio etiquette is essential to keep dancers safe and to keep classes running smoothly. Please read and discuss these points with your dancer.

arrive 10 minutes early to allow time to get ready for your class and use the bathroom. Bathroom breaks during class are disruptive and should only happen in an emergency
do not wear your dance shoes outside the studio and do not wear your outside shoes inside the studio. This preserves the life of your dancewear and the life of our dance floor
parents wishing to discuss dance with the teacher should contact the teacher outside of class time so that teachers can maintain their tight class schedules
leave your dancer with us to maintain their maximum focus and fun
gum and jewelry are not allowed and proper attire must be worn for each class. Proper attire is important so that teachers can see what the dancer's body is doing to prevent injuries. We suggest having clothes dedicated to dance. Attire for each class can be found HERE
if your dancer will be absent from class please contact their teacher to let them know so that we can plan class accordingly. Regular attendance is important for dancers to learn the routine for year end recital but if your dancer is sick please keep them home

Register for 2026/2027 Season

please check the class schedule and the studio calendar and put all the important dates in your calendar
extra practice March 5th - This is an All Studio Practice. All dancers will come to the studio and show their dance routines to the other classes. We will also be practicing the opening number at this practice
we reserve the right to change or cancel classes. In most cases this will be due to registration numbers and will be done at the beginning of the year
all communication is done through BAND App or email. This includes class cancellations and upcoming events. You will get a link for the Prairie Dance Studio BAND as well as a link for each class you are registered in. Please join each BAND to keep up to date
costume rental is included in your tuition. Any damage to costumes will be billed to the dancer based on the extent of repair required up to complete replacement cost
A deposit of $200/ dancer in addition to the online form is required to complete your registration. The remainder of your balance owing is due before September 14, 2026. Classes do fill up, so be sure to complete your registration to avoid disappointment. Enrollment for classes by age is calculated based on the age the dancer will be on September 14, 2026.
we offer a 2 week trial for dancers. A refund minus a registration fee of $150 will be given to any dancer who decides to withdraw before September 25, 2026. No refund will be given after.
We want your dancer to dance! If you need financial assistance please contact Miss Bethany at 403-878-2883. We work with KidSport and Jumpstart and are willing to help you with the paperwork.
